General Government Committee

That the Minutes of the regular meeting of the General Government Committee held on January 10, 2022 be adopted.

That the Minutes of the Closed Session of the General Government Committee held on January 10, 2022 be adopted.

That items 4.2, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8 of the consent agenda be adopted.

1. That Council award the contract for the restoration of the Kingston Rd E Wetland in the amount of $832,841.98 (inclusive of all taxes) to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. 2. That Council approve the award of $66,627.36 (inclusive of all taxes), a partial matching of the Ducks Unlimited Canada partner contribution, for the planting of additional native tree and shrub species in the Wetland Restoration – Kingston Rd E project to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. 3. That Council approve funding of $60,000 to be allocated to Capital Account No. 1025611 Wetland Restoration from Tree Compensation funds, as a partial matching of the Ducks Unlimited Contribution. 4. That Council authorize staff to explore opportunities to fund and scope the rehabilitation of the Carruthers Trail portion between Kingston Rd E and Kerrison Drive, either as part of the wetland restoration or as a separate project.

That the Town of Ajax Waterfront Parking Management Program be adjusted by allowing an additional 10 “Waterfront Resident Guest Parking Permits” (WRGPP) to any of the identified addresses within the Rotary Park Map (ATT-1) and Central Waterfront Map (ATT-2), where seasonal parking restrictions are in place, in time for the beginning of the 2022 summer season.

1. That the report on the net over-expenditure of $195,271.46 (net of HST rebate) on the 2020 Road Resurfacing Project, Capital Account No. 1005411, previously awarded to C. Valley Paving Ltd. be received for information.

1. That Council direct staff to approve the assignment of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale between the Town of Ajax and 2613628 Ontario Ltd. to OrionCap for the Town- owned 105 Rossland Road parcels (Parts 8, 10 and 12 of 40R-31239).

1. That the works and services within the following Plans of Subdivision be assumed by the Town: a) (S-A-2008-01) – Duffins Village Phase 2 Owner: 1441449 Ontario Inc. & Cougs (Ajax Ltd.) Agreement Date: February 6, 2017 Registered Plan: 40M-2591 Refer to Appendix “A” b) (S-A-2007-03) – Mulberry Meadows Phase 6 Owner: Ajax Audley Developments Ltd. Agreement Date: August 24, 2015 Registered Plan: 40M-2551, that Ainley Road from the west limit of the Park Block easterly to Audley Road, and Turnerbury Avenue from Holroyd Street to the south limit of the plan be excluded from Plan 40M-2551 assumption. Refer to Appendix “B” General Government Committee February 22, 2022 _________________________________________________________________________________________ c) (S-A-2007-03) – Mulberry Meadows Phase 1A (Pond Block 887 only) Owner: Ajax Audley Developments Ltd. Agreement Date: September 16, 2009 Registered Plan: 40M-2404 Refer to Appendix “C” 2. That the corresponding Assumption By-laws be prepared for an upcoming Council meeting.

That the report entitled “2021 Committee of Adjustment Update” dated February 22, 2022, be received for information.

That the report to the General Government Committee, dated February 22, 2022 entitled “Pickering Village Community Improvement Plan: 2021 Façade Improvement Grant and Sign Grant Program Summary” be received for information.

1. That the report entitled ‘Rossland Road EA and Preliminary Design’ be received for information.

That the Committee convene to a Closed Session pursuant to Section 239 (2) (c) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, to discuss a matter pertaining to a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board.

That all directions approved during the Closed Session be ratified.

That the February 22, 2022 meeting of the General Government Committee be adjourned.
