1. That Council receive the report entitled “Envision Durham – Municipal Comprehensive Review – Growth Management Study: Alternative Land Need Scenarios – Town of Ajax Comments” for information; 2. That Council endorse Land Needs Assessment Scenario 5 – Emphasis on Higher Densities Residential, and urge the Region to take a progressive approach that eliminates the need for an expanded Community Area, responds best to the Climate Emergency declaration, protects agricultural land, and results in the greatest balance of housing units throughout the Region by 2051; 3. That Council endorse Employment Scenario 2 – Higher Employment Intensification, maximizing existing serviced employment lands throughout the Region by promoting employment intensification while reducing the amount of new Employment Area needed to accommodate job growth; and 4. That a copy of this Report be forwarded to the Region of Durham, and all Durham Area Municipalities.
