That the following language be added to the Town of Ajax Land Acknowledgement read at each Accessibility Advisory Committee Meeting: “We also recognize that the impacts of colonialism intersect with ableism, resulting in overlapping barriers for Indigenous Peoples and people with disabilities. As the Accessibility Advisory Committee, we commit to our ongoing work to prevent, identify, and remove barriers, and to support the inclusion, dignity, and participation of everyone.”
